Subject: is my related problem same or different?

I have a similar problem as Shogun -- my fan occasionally blows at high speed and I can't do anything about it, but at other times works properly (and speed is variable). I'll try his fix ... although my sword is a new (rebuilt) version from Programa.

However, my weirdly related problem is that occasionally the system quits working entirely, and the lights on the control panel go out. But ... if I push in the center of the control panel, they'll come back on (but will turn off again when I let go).

Naturally, I figured maybe the electrical connection is bad, or not plugged in all the way, and that pushing it somehow makes the connection. But no ... the connection is fine, and pushing on the panel shouldn't make ANY difference.

So my question is: Could there be a circuit or component inside the control panel that connects or disconnects if the entire panel is "flexed" like Shogun's sword ... and if so, how the hell do I diagnose it?

Thanks for any comments
