slow Lugsury car instead of an autobahn bahnstormer.

I hit the redline in my M30 motored cars EVERYTIME I drive them at least once. I took my 5 in to the local dealer for a free check-up about 8 years ago and the service advisor said "You run this car don't you?" Yes, "I can tell cause it is one of the fastest 535s I have driven." He indicated the motor takes a set doing what it does most of the time. Well mine sees high rpm, I am not scared of it, love the sound of it in the 7.

The chip I installed in my 5 made almost NO difference except raising the engine cutoff from 5850 indicated to 6050 indicated. Made one BIG difference in when to shift, somewhere just below 6K or AT 6K. So I am happy. Also happy I had a low revving ECU as that has probably added years to the life of my engine.
