Subject: Pulling to the right

I took my 1988 e28 on the road out of town recently on a 500 mile trip. I marveled at how well in line the car was when I released the steering wheel.

At my destination, I drove another 300 or so miles city and interstate with no major maladies involves such as potholes etc. Before I left town, I noticed that the car developed a slight pull to the right.

On the way back, I noticed that when I released the steering wheel, the pull had gotten worse.

By the time I got back home, the pull had begun to be major. I mean, I not only could not release the wheel, but I also had to keep a firm grip decidedly left. On the other hand, the steering wheel is not particularly twisted or anything.

What you think guys? Need a simple alignment?
Thanks for all your help in advance.
