Subject: The reality is

If you drive close to the speed limit (GASP) these cars don't really get bad mileage for what they are - a big ass luxury car. I went to FL in April - had the cruise set at 79 MPH and avg fuel consumption was 27 MPG. I've slowed down to get even better MPG. I laughed at all the big ass SUV's flying by me at 85-90 MPH - you know they are suk'n the gas down. And thats the reality of it all - supply and demand. If people are stupid enough to go out and spend 40K on and SUV that gets 10-12 MPG then they are going to pay at the pump. I for one made a few bucks in the commodities markets on unleaded gas and crude oil, and if the price goes down I'll make money then too. I just cant wait to pay $5.00 for a cup of coffee at 7-11 (I'm not a Starbucks geek, they pay close to $5.00 now)!

Oh and the SS - 1800 RPM at 79 MPH all day long!

Cheers!
