Hello all...
Had this problem for more than 1 cold weather season. I'm in the dallas area and when it got cold (below 40f or so) car was hard to start. It would crank...but wouldn't fire up...and when it did it would stumble and sometimes stall. Well on the advise of bmw635 I swapped the fuel pump relay and the rear window defroster relay (in the trunk). Low and behold...IT WORKED! It was 18f here yesterday and car started right up! I guess that relay wasn't getting energized enough to build up fuel pressure. Such a simple fix! That fuel pump relay is a multi-function relay (mint green color) so it has multi-purposes in the car. Good info for all as I've seen other people with the same problem post on here.
Thanks again to bmw635...and to this board...donation to follow!
