Take the headlight out of the car (see E38.org)

Remove the weather strip

Photobucket

Flip over and undo the 3 T20 screws

Photobucket

Slide out

Photobucket

Use a screwdriver to remove the clips

Photobucket

Remove the cover of the xenon

Photobucket

Photobucket

Back view

Photobucket

Use a screwdriver to pry both headlight adjusters off

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Remove the headlight cover

Photobucket

Remove the screw in the corner

Photobucket

Remove cover and you see this

Photobucket

Photobucket

Use a pair of pliers to pinch the center so it pops (headlight adjuster)

Photobucket

Unplug the highbeam

Photobucket

Remove the ground wire

Photobucket

Remove the tabs (front and rear) yo remove the center piece

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Now you see the back screws

Photobucket

Not sure what you call these (inverted torx?)

Photobucket

Undo all 3

Photobucket

Photobucket

Pull the lens straight out

Photobucket

Empty housing

Photobucket

The major difference in lens size!

Photobucket

But just as long!

Photobucket

Only one is marked RIGHT!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Nice and full!

Photobucket

When test fitting you can encounter the motor to hit the housing

Photobucket

I removed a little

Photobucket

The holes in the lens

Photobucket

The screw size

Photobucket

Drilled the holes a little bigger

Photobucket

Photobucket

Nice a tight fit!

Photobucket

Made them a little bigger for better adjustment

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Align it correct!!!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Headlight without cover

Photobucket

With cover

Photobucket

The cover does not fit so we need to grind a little to make room

Photobucket

After I'm done

Photobucket

Nice and tight and does not touch

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

In place

Photobucket

Reconnect the ground wire

Photobucket

Gently slide it back in!!!

Photobucket

My projector was hitting the inside of the housing

Photobucket

Photobucket

So removed a little extra metal

Photobucket

Installed

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Solder the wires (extend them)

Photobucket

Photobucket

And connect them to the brown (ground wire) and the white from the high beam light

But it back together and install in the car!

Here a new and old headlight!
