on the air box u have to remove the air box clamps and then there should be 2 other bolt next the mass air flow sensor that have to come off in order to get the whole air box off.

With the oil problem it could be a bunch of problems. you would be getting it too high in the RPM's when it/you shift or you could have a head gasket problem, or your thurmometer is going and your engine is heating up. When you drive it keep an eye on the temp. gauge.
