The day started out with a Group Cruise, where the first group of 4 (Charles, James, Roger, Sam) met at Starbucks in Plano at 11:00 AM. We traveled south to link-up with the second group of 4 (Dan, Doug & Natasha, Joe, Terry) at Owens off Midway & 635. I was the lead driver and it was pretty cool looking at 3 black 01 740i Sport line up in the rear view mirror for a while. The caravan then marched toward our social meet destination, Hooters of Grapevine.

When we arrived, Dave, Rob and Kenneth was already there. Kenneth brought a fully loaded 2004 Audi A8L from Baillargeon Audi for us to check-out the competition. We proceed to have our lunch first after some brief chats. While dining at Hooters, we all behaved like true Southern gentlemen (n/a to Natasha) and focused squarely on the fine food and talk cars. The AC was strong and Charles offered our lovely waitress his coat to cover her shivering body. It was clear that every DFW7 members held high moral value and their eye sights never strayed. Despite the temptations, Joe stayed at the extended church session and did not join us until 1:30 PM.

After the fine dining experience, we moved back outside and Kenneth offered everyone to test drive the A8, which most did and all came back with big grin on their face. Audi has done an excellent job with its current A8 class. I also had my slightly mod. 740iS for members to drive around.

In all we had a dozen cars today. It seems everyone had a great time. Most did not depart until after 4:00 PM. Last ones left at 5:30 PM. The social meet was a nice departure from our regular DIY and Tech Session Meets.

Our DFW7 T-shirts lined up. Those round logo make for perfect target practice.

Our beautiful spokeslady - Natasha! Bachelors need not apply, I think she and Doug are very happy together.
