Subject: Yes Engine Mounts Changed Too

I got them changed too. The drivers side was completely separated. The passenger side looked good but broke loose when I was raising the drivers side of the engine. Changing passenger side was easy. Changing drivers side seemed impossible at first, until I discovered technique for getting socket on invisible top nut.

Socket attached to universal joint attached to 10" extension. Feed upward from underneath in front of PS lines. Put right hand behind engine mount and wrap fingers around to touch nut/stud. With left hand, take a long screwdriver, and raise the already inserted socket combo up and over and behind the PS lines, and let it drop down to your waiting fingers. A small amount of fiddling will get socket to seat on nut. Then from above, I attached a 1/2" drive swivel-headed long handle ratchet onto the extension that is peeking up. I was able to repeatably do this first-attempt without any cussing.

Leave both mounts loose while re-installing or you may tear them apart. When jacking up engine, you will have to go high enough that the fan hits the shroud. Stop at this point and flex(pull) the blades clear of the shroud, then jack it up about 1/4" further. I did not have to take anything loose from the engine to raise it, there was enough flexibility in all hoses wires and cables. But go slowly and look after each pump of the jack to be sure.

Hope this helps.
