Am I the only person that thinks we overdo school zones in current times... It goes back to teaching the child to cope with life, learning to cross streets is one of those things they need to learn.

I remember when I was growing up - NO school zones. I lived on a highway in St Louis. I learned to cross that highway on my own at an early age - 5th-6th grade. I HAD to learn - never had a problem.

A town just north of Tyler just changed their school zone laws aat their HIGH SCHOOL....now from 7:30 'til 4:30 in the afternoon. Fines are slated to be $200-300.00 range. To me that is ridiculous if a child can't cross the street by that age may be they might need to be hit - they won't do again.

Recent article in the paper here this week 74% of today's youth not fit for military duty - either drugs, illiterate or obese.

Sorry folks, that is just sad!!!!!!! This country is in deep Poo Poo!!

"Her job is to Bitch.....Mine is to give her a reason!"

What most torments me about the foolishness of my youth, is not the crazy things I have done...but the fact that I can’t go back and do them again.

To get old is to go from passion to compassion.

When we pass sixty, there are fewer things that we think are absurd....

Young people think the old are ridiculous... The old know that the young are ridiculous.
