M60 waterpump needs minor mod to clear the head.

M60 Cam sensor can be used with a spacer on the M62 and the steel multipoint M62 sensor disc cut to be a single point.

Crank sensor welded or bolted to the M62 timing cover.

Oil filter housing may need an extra bracket to fit onto the M62 which has the oil filter on the car body.

Otherwise that's it, The M60 DME from what I read runs the M62 fine but leans out slightly at WOT, but bigger 21LB injectors should take care of that, the O2 sensors will adjust for normal running speeds. Other comments I read are heaps more low down torque and a lot of info about the M62 producing far more Hp than the specs suggest (I doubt this as my E34 slightly modified M60 absoloutly nukes my stock E39 540). If I do a mild porting on this one as well, it should be interesting though as it made a significant difference last time.

I'm not looking forward to polishing another 32 valves and 8 combustion chambers, took me two full weeks last time, but the result is they havn't ever carboned up on the M60 since the rebuild, shiny as the day I finished them, and the engine produces the horses.
