just an idea and it maybe a lot of work, but i cant see anything too complicated about it but why not just use an entire e39 wiring system or similar in your e34?, that would negate any of the dme 3.3 issues although, i would also be reasonably surprised if there was much difference at all in the ignition curves between these motors since they are so similar, even if they were either one will most likely work as well or near as well as it did on there native motor anyway
