Couldn't just leave it stock. I put some cheap air shocks on it so I could raise up the rear end and look "cool". The label on the shocks said max air pressure was 75psig. One Saturday morning, when everybody on my block was out working on their lawn, I hooked up a CO2 tank to boost up the PSI. I got the rear end way up. I thought, "yeah that looks cool". Not 30 seconds later, both shocks went BOOM, BOOM. Everyone working out side shut off their lawn mowers and looked at me holding my CO2 tank. The silence was deafening. A few weeks later I spray painted it, in my driveway, at dusk, black with red racing stripes. I used to take it to the grocery store at night and run into grocery carts, "at speed". The steel carts would fly right over the top of the car. Once I changed the battery, and the battery hold down clamp was rusted away. I didn't bother to secure the battery. I took a left turn and the battery flew into the fan blade and it ripped a big hole in the battery.
The best memory of that car, was when I was getting a blow job while driving. I pulled up to a stop sign and stopped. Just then, a couple of girls from my church pulled up next to me and stopped and waved and said "hi". The blowjob girl raised up, wiped off her mouth and looked over at the church girls. The look on the church girls face, and the shade of white that ensued on their faces has remained in my memory to this very day.
I think I know why the state of Michigan has raised the driving age to 18, and greatly restricted the driving privliges of 16yr olds.
