Subject: Tire question.. My wife is getting all 4 tires replaced on her 325i by warranty

and I need to decide which tire I want to go with as a replacement. About 2 1/2 years ago we bought a set of Continental ContiProContact 91H rated tires and purchased the extended warranty, luckily. Anyway, the other day I went to get one of the tires pull off the rim so I could try my own wheel repair skills and we noticed that the tires had cracks all around them. After further inspection, it seems that all 4 tires have cracks which are covered by warranty.

We bough the tires at Discount tires so now they are offering to replace all four tires for either the same
ContiProContact or they also recommended the
Yokohama YK520 Both tires are about the same price at about $150 a piece. I don’t know much about the Yokohama’s but my wife liked them a lot. I couldn’t complain about the ride quality either, I too thought they drove very nice, they just didn’t hold up to well. Tread wear is still good on them but the rubber cracked which could end up badly.

My wife is the total opposite of me, she is more about getting maximum mileage out of the tires vs. getting the better performing tire. I am ok with that as long as the tire is good and save. If the tire last longer, perfect she wouldn’t be racing with them anyway. I would prefer an all season tire, so the Yokohama’s seem to be OK. Do any of you have experience with the Yokohama’s vs. the ContiProContatcs and does anyone recommend another long lasting tire that is no more that $150. I hate buying tires, there are so many options. Any advice you guys could give me, would be great. I am thinking about going with the Yokohama’s since the continentals obviously didn’t hold up long, if you go by the Discount tire ratings you would also think that the Yokohama tire is a better tire. I looked up other reviews and they all seem to be mixed.
