Re: MAF

Got my new hoses and all and actually had some time to mess around, I replaced all the intake hoses and no change. Then I disconected the MAF. rpms went up then down then smothed out and the car ran fine! then I reconnected the MAF and got the same fluctuating idle and the car ran like crap, could the Maf be sending out bad signals? also can it hurt the engine to run it disconected untill i figure it out? 1 other thing I forgot to mention I just filled the tank with 91 octane 10 mins before this happened could this be a factor?
