Over the 7+ years of organizing DFW7, I've met some great people. While larger Social/Tech Session meets are nice and necessary for our volunteer car club; I also enjoy smaller get together with friends that I've made over the years. Today was one of those days. Steve (aunechiropractic) drove 2 1/2 hours from Wichita Falls and Roger (Txdarth) over 2 hours from Tyler to Plano; along with Michael (Lurcher), Terry (turkeybird740i) and Mark (mancho) for some DIY work and socializing.

A little bit of a background on the guys. Roger and Steve are our Tech guys that can tackle most of the E38 DIY mods. Michael, while quite skilled, is often sidelined by his work AND vacation schedule :-) Michael comes up with some good ideas that I don't think of and I just put them into action and meets. Mark is DFW7's webmaster; he designed and hosts our website. Of the 100 or so current DFW7 members, Terry and I are the lone remaining original DFW7 members that still own a 7 Series since our first club meet back in March, 2002. Terry hosted several DFW7's meets and has always been there to offer a morale boost and helping hand to our little club.

Today's DIY Meet consisted of HID fog lights for Steve's car, Euro Armrest for my car and some impromptu work. See Pics bleow, sorry about some of the low res Pics as I could not locate my camera earlier.

Roger helping Steve with his HID fog Lights, together they got it done in 15 minutes

Steve's turn getting dirty

Steve is now the proud owner of Dinan carbon fiber Cold Air Intake, which I traded with him for his Euro armrest

Steve installing his Euro armrest in my car. A mod I've wanted since my first E38 ten years ago.

Hidden Bluetooth Pairing button Steve has previously installed in the Euro armrest. Worked like a charm for my BT setup.

Conditioning our Bavarian automobiles with fine German Beer :-)

A quick trim change out. Another trade with Michael, parts for lunch, both are happy campers.

Roger can never stand still and has to get working on everyone's cars. In this case, mine, thanks Rogers!

Steve on the ground helping Michael to double check his door trim before his stereo upgrade.

Afterward we went to Twin Peaks in Plano for lunch. We had to newbie and looks too young waitress that didn't seem to know how to take food orders. The scenary at the bar however, was quite nice ;-)
