I would get the VIN and ask your local BMW dealer to give you the service history. That is a lot of miles for a 3 year old car, and since its already past the warranty phase, I would check with the dealer to see what services were performed during the "free maintenance" phase.

These cars will easily run 200k miles (if not more) if well maintained. You need to make sure that the oil was changed regularly, etc. Since BMW had "free maintenance" during the first 50k miles for that car, they should have had all the work done at BMW. If the records do not support proper service, do not believe him if he says he did it elsewhere, since the service would have been free.

As for the model and year, there really are no "bugs" in the 2006 cars. You might want to ask for a software update for the i-drive, since the software could be a bit outdated.

If its "loaded", the price is pretty good. Just make sure that as a new BMW owner, you know what a "loaded" BMW entails - its more than just power windows. Does it have sport package? Cold weather package? Xenons? Active Steering? Navigation? Logic7 stereo upgrade? Comfort Access? Heated Rear Seats? Rear shade? My point is simply that there are a myriad of options that would effect price, and simply saying "loaded" might be a bit vague to truly appreciate if its a good price or not.

Good luck!
