Thanks kind Shogun sir, and everybody else for their input. Be assured that I'm not unloading carb cleaner in this 750 all day long as a cure-all but when I have used it it makes the EML go off and gets me out of limp mode. As I stated before "limp mode" on this thing is tantamount to being stranded in Tennessee as this car will not climb steep grades in limp mode. I guess a 750 owner has to bite the bullet and take it to somebody with diagnostic equipment sooner or later, but one of the reasons I am here (this forum) is to be able to service the 12-cylinder myself. Forgive me for my frustration at times but I just can't believe that the same computer that was shutting me down was also telling me there was nothing wrong with the car........ If 2 plus 2 still doesn't equal 4 I don't have much of a chance figuring out anything on this car.
Today the car did fine by the way; two hour drive and no EML or limp mode. I will probably go with a throttle valve cleaning next week before taking it somewhere for diagnostics.
