Thanks Shogun. I have good news! Your post from yesterday really helped me solve my problem and now the mighty 750iL is running just fine! You pretty much suggested it was voltage or throttle body causing my problems and since I had just replaced the battery and didn't seem to be having any charging problems I began to think about the throttle body. Removed my large ducts going into throttle body and noticed engine would run with right side still hooked up but not left which led me to believe left side wasn't working; or at least not working properly. Had a helper squirt volumes of carb and choke clearer into the left side as i was racing the engine and low and behold "check engine" light(which came on with the EML and limp mode) began to flicker and then went out. Hooked duct back up to throttle body and away I went; this time with no EML coming on and car running the best since I have had it(three weeks). Went out and bought some Lucas fuel injection cleaner and added it to tank and hope I don't have this problem again for a while. Might really be time to overhaul the throttle body completely but I'm going to wait snd see. One thing I will share with you and other members (though I am sure you already know) is that these 750 won't climb hills in limp mode. At least not Tennessee hills. For the lack of a few squirts of carb cleaner in my throttle body I was left stranded by the computer on this car which shut the system down. That's not right. Thank you again kind Shogun sir for your help and my best to all here on Bimmerboard!
