neutral position when bolt is torqued...otherwise the bushings will be twisted beyond their intended normal travel (especially if the wheels were hanging from the suspension also...added weight) as the car is lowered onto it's wheels...also as the suspension is now further compressed (hit a bump)while driving the bushings are even twisted further in the same direction...I have seen so many non-believers of this...just wanted to highlight what you have already said!
