They are cheap, and do the same job, a pump is a pump is a pump, they rest are mere details (something I heard once relating to a duck).

My issue was that the "dealer" had nil stock Aust, and at $548aud, and $447 aftermarket, I decided that there had to be an easier way, just like I did with the Jags (we use Commodore pumps).

The supplier issue, on the aftermarket field, is the low volume??, and the plastic cage/cradle that it sits in inside the tank, but the pump comes out of that plastic thing (with some persuasion) and the rest is simple, not even "outside of square thinking" as we say.

The engine has now settled down significantly (150kms), and I keep looking at the tacho to see if the damn thing is still running when at the lights waiting, and the "mumbo" I thought it had, is now serious "mumbo", so I am now convinced that at 15years and 176000km the pump was way past it's use by date.
