How did you resolve this? I am trying to do something similar on a 330ci. At Blitzsafe, did you speak to Mark (or Marc) who is senior engineer? He just did one of these with XM a week or two ago. What they are now suggesting is the XM Direct Module (a $40 - 50 demodulator that currently has a $30 rebate available) and one of the Blitsafe adapters ($220) that connects in the trunk where you normally would connect a CD changer. They have a model that has an iPod connector on it as well, so that you can have both XM (shows pretty full info on the radio) and iPod (same functionality, such that it is, as the BMW iPod adapter has when installed (as designed) between the radio and glove box.
