This seller seems pretty dense, but for now, I'll go with his story about the fuel pump. Wouldn't a bad CPS (assume you mean camshaft position sensor) throw a CEL; plus, when I've had a CPS go bad on my E38, the car would eventually start. His died while running and he couldn't start it back up. Is the CPS in the 525 easy to change? I did the one on my 7er in about 15 minutes.

If I decide to make an offer on this car, I'll start at $2300, based on what I've seen out there for similar E34s. No heated seats or traction control, plus the ashtray smell of the car will be on the table, but he does have something there with the no-rust condition. We'll see what happens.
