The 535s I was looking at sold w/o me even seeing them. My son checked out the '94 525 in Minneapolis and it had some bad rusting at the door bottoms (though everything else was pretty good). If it was one or even two doors and a little surface rust, I would have considered it, but this was too much. I realize I'm looking at cars that were built 15 years ago, but my '95 and '98 E38s have lived their lives in Wisconsin and I've taken care of any and all paint bubbling before it gets out of hand, so a little bit of prevention goes a long way.

The rust free '94 525 is in town, I've seen it, and it's definitely in the running, as long as the AC works. I talked to the seller last week, and the fuel pump failed, so he's getting that fixed today (that's a plus for me), so I'm going to look at it again, with a closer eye, and go from there.

Thank you all for your input. This board is an invaluable source of information. I'll let you know if I buy an E34. Thanks again.
