We just confirmed a huge cost saving (and possibly technically superior) Bluetooth alternative to the ULF. A new Bluetooth-Assist TCU will work in an early model car. However, the factory default coding has Voice Recognition turned off. I tried enabling VR with NavCoder, but it did not work. NavCoder would read the VR coding, and appear to set the VR coding, but the behavior of the module did not change. Is this an enhancement you can add to your coding backlog? The advantage to the TCU over the ULF is that it costs about 1/2 the price of a ULF ($345 USD for the TCU versus >$600 USD for a ULF).
