Subject: Okay so the battery is draining now...

So I got out to the car this morning to head to work, and the battery is dead. I had to jump the car to drive to a meeting, which was only a couple miles away from my house, so I knew it wasn't enough to fully charge the battery. I jumped it after the meeting off of my buddy's new (to him) 2006 750Li. Holy sh!t am I jealous! Not just because his car starts all the time, but that is one nice car. And iDrive seems to be a little more user friendly nowadays too!!! But more on the newer 750 later. Back to my car...

What is it about that battery dummy light coming on when I shut the car off? It will stay on all night. I didn't think that single light could possibly drain the battery, but could it? If so, what in the heck is causing it to come on? I know a failed voltage regulator will make it light up, but that is only when the ignition is in the "on" setting. This only lights up when the switch is in the off position

Any suggestions are appreciated.
