This sure sounds like a description of a vehicle that used up the old production parts until gone then a switch to the new stuff.

What it means is the car needs to be looked at when ordering parts to get the right stuff. Some may be the older parts, some may be the newer parts in different systems in the car.

So until we see a picture of his engine compartment, we won't know about motronic other than your comment that the motronic change is a May installation. I did not know that.

The new owner bought the car cheap and posted on R3V and mye28 and I pointed him to this site.
