It does say that and I've seen that description before. Keep in mind, that is Options own description, not PIAA's.

I can tell you this, it is the whitest light bulb I've seen, but like xenons when the angle of vison changes, you occasionally get a tinge of bluish purple, but in NO WAY is it a bluish purple light.

Keep in mind, all xenons are pretty white about 90% of the time when you see them, however, depending on where your line of vision is you may get a blast of purple or blue light when looking at xenons. The same is true for these except for the intense blue or purple you get from a xenon is not as strong with this bulb.

If you want some kind of visual, go to the last piture on page one of my cardomain page (the link is below on my sig), or any of the pictures on page 3 where my headlights and foglights are on simultaneously. The headlights are OEM xenons in these pictures and the foglights are PIAA Super Plasmas. I know, the res of the pictures isn't great but the colors seem very close.


I assure you, these are not 'purple or blue lights', see for yourself. I know what you are looking for and these are it.
