First, remove the headrest so that you'll be able to more easily lift the seat out of the car later. Then use the power controls to elevate the seat to its highest position.

Next, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery in the trunk for 10 minutes. This will prevent airbag light errors when you turn the car back on later.

Use a socket wrench (17mm as I recall) to remove each of the four bolts securing the seat to the floor.

With all four bolts removed, tilt the seat backward and unplug the wiring harnesses. Though all of the connectors are uniquely keyed, its a good idea to use tape to mark the locations of each one.

Remove the bolt attaching the seatbelt to the seat frame. Note the orientation of the seatbelt for re-attachment later. Finally, lift the seat up and out of the car. The seat is very heavy so it helps to have an assistant. Be careful not to let the bottom of the seat frame scratch your paint.

A view of the driver's side with the seat removed.

Make sure that you have the wiring harness connectors properly in place before re-connecting the car battery.
