Subject: E30 97 M52 oil in coolant

I have seen at many posts about this, some point to head gasket some to cylinder head, but all say to check oil for water or coolant, which I did in mine and oil came out just ok, no traces of coolant on it. But my coolant is oily, where can it be mixed with oil? could it be steering system leak? that oil is in fact milky telling me it has water on it I am replacing the hoses and flushing the oil in the steering system. I had a failure in these 3 systems and I am fixing them but I want to look at all the possible places for the oil leak into the coolant while I am fixing them:
1) Steering rack & hoses for the steering oil reservoir.
2) Radiator
3) AC Compressor.

AC compressor I am ruling it out as a place for coolant oil problem for obvious reasons, but please anyone correct me if I am wrong in this assumption.
I really want to find the place for oil to leak into the coolant, seems I have regular cooked oil on the side of the engine for a 110K mile car.
