Subject: Engine Ping

Hi,
I posted this on the e38 forum...thats how computer savvy I am! The problem I have is that my 1985 735i starts to ping after driving it about 20-30 minutes. The ping gets worse by a considerable amount if I turn on the Aircon. I have replaced the airflow meter, fuel injectors and I have put in a larger radiator (Off a deisel) and it still pings. The running temp on the instrument cluster is just below half way. The only other part I wanted to replace was the O2 sensor but before I do that can any one advise me what might be causing the ping? Any and all advice is welcome...desperate
