Hello everyone,

After not having used my E28 528e for about two weeks,I got to use it again today. I had the battery re-charged as it was dead when i hopped in. The engine startd in one click. I let it remain idle for a couple of minutes just to "flex its muscles" before driving off. However, when I took off I noticed that the engine sounded like it was misfiring... like it was out of tune. I tried to notice anthing else that may lead me to a conclusion, everything appeared normal e.g., idling is constant and not eratic. It speeds off and changes gears but with a lot of vibration and I am attributing that to the engine misfiring.

Based on the Benley Manual for this particlar model, it offers a whole lot of tests and I can't seem to figure out where to begin. Can anyone tell me where to start and where it is most lkely I will find the problem ??
