I use a vacuum pump that sucks all the oil out thru the dipstick tube. Filter replaces from the top, so the car never needs to come up. Also, never strip the oil plug threads!

There is no great place to lift the car up front. If you're going to do it, use a thick board to distribute the load widely. Go slow. I don't think that large hump you show is OK. Different years look different, so mine is not like yours.
