I Just finished my vanos tonight. It started right up and idles fine. But the engine sounds more ticky, I havent replaced the engine covers yet so maybe this is why, do they dampen the sound alot?

Also around 3k rpm I hear a slight wistling noise that I cant tell where its coming from, is it ok to rev the engine in park to 3k to try and find where its coming from... Any suggestions?

A side problem I have is the MPG gauge has never acted right on my car. When I stop at a light it spikes to max than settles down. I figure its a vacum leak somewhere, but I dont know where to start looking.

Tomorrow is the real test I will start it up cold and see if it dosent stall or idle weird.

Any help on the other issues would be great..
