I successfully replaced the seals in my '99 328i (111K miles) three days ago.

It had the classic cold start symptoms even stalling while idling. The surgery went well: exactly as described in the procedures which are dead on accurate. Sure makes life a little easier when everything is spelled out so clearly. You would not believe the condition of the old seals. Flat and hard. There was so much play between the piston and the body that you could literally wiggle it back and forth sideways.

The results??? Instant fix. The demons have been excorsized. Cold start/idle is steady as a rock, all sorts of new power throughout the full rpm range, and oh so smooth, and not even broken in yet.

If anyone has any doubts about whether or not this will help your car, rest assured, it will.
