Okay, so I applied the first coat to everthing last night, save one which was done the night before last.

If you take a look at the picture you can see that the wood's colour is not consistent in a single panel alone. I gave it another sanding and managed to smooth out all the lighter spots. The one piece that I applied the first coat to the night before last had a lighter spot which turned out very light after the first coat.

I'll have pics up. This morning the finish was still a little soft so hopefully after work it'll be solid.

The first coat looks great so far, although I did notice some rough spots. I tried sanding down the first piece I applied the coat to but I don't think I sanded enough because the finish isn't smooth (I am applying the coat via paint brush). There seems to be dips or "potholes" here and there. I'll get a really up close pic of that when I get home today.
