I have a 530i with 101,000 miles. Twice (about a week between incidents) I have not been able to get the vehicle to start. In both cases the car was at ambient temperature (sitting for a day or two). The vehicle did not even attempt to turn-over... similar to a neutral safety switch failure (I attempted to start the car in both park and neutral without success). I attempted to start with a portable battery pack, but this did not work either.

In both cases I have gone out the next morning and the car has cranked without hesitation!

Recent work- though I can not see a connection is an oil change, I also swapped out the Mk III nav system for a Mk IV.

Anyone had a similar issue?
