Well I'm sure glad to see that someone else is abel to pull this off, as my time is starting today, I just had my motor froped off today by truck in my garage, for the most part I guess i'm going to attmpt it my self with out any help, i have done old chevy motors & a couple of font wheel drive gm cars, but i have never had to slide up under my bmw like this, from the prices that I have herd from the dealer $3200 not including the price of the motor, & one company wants you to buy the motor thru them, I figured I will try it myself first & just take my time doin it! Wish me luck, on my 1998 528I 4 door, I hope to have some fun, did you need any special tools to get any thing out of the engine area besides taking the head off, & other then the fan?
