please some doubts.

i am rebuilding an alternator 140a for change by mine is 110a, i hope less battery discharge problems.

so 140A alternator part number is : 12 31 1 733 772, maybe ,label is a bit damaged

voltage regulator fitted very damaged short brushes seems original from build car ,part number is:

BMW 1 197 311 038 EL 14V

now the question:

I have a new voltage regulator Beru part number:

GER 022 0190 005 022 28mm 14,5v

both old and new Beru are really identical proportions and size, and fits exactly ok in the 'new' 140 alternator..

Can i fit the new Beru voltage regulator????

Any significative diference between???

Any web to check availability or interchange parts about??

Thanks in advance: Jesus
