i have a serious problem sure that its gona cost me an arm and leg to fix, i think.....
anyways driving home the other nite my upper radiator hose burst and the car started to smoke... i was about 5mls from home so i drove home slowly, the car must have cut out 3 times... Made it home, however the next day i replaced the hose, refill the coolant, bleed the coolant so on... the car started with a puff of white smoke which continued to come out of the exhaust, it flashed ENGINE FAILSAFE PROG and CHECK COOLANT LEVEL even though i filled up with coolant... another problem is that as soon as i start the engine the engine temp gauge would go all the way to red even though the engine is still cold...help plz anyone.. i have a 2000 540i
