Subject: Very interesting... that may explain why you can't find the coax plug up front

Normally, the coax antenna cable runs to the trunk compartment. Then it hooks directly into another antenna cable that runs up to the arm rest. It typically just has a butt-joiner connector, or it passes through an antenna compensator module. In your case, the antenna connects directly to the TCU and it does not run forward. Therefore, you probably do not have the 2nd coax cable in your car.

I would ignore the missing coax antenna line for now. It has no affect on your other issues and overall system performance. It would only matter if you had an eject box with for a phone that links to the antenna. Since you do not have that, the car's built-in antenna is unused.

You fully removed the original TCU and all of the related phone components, right? If not, you need to. You should only have your new Bluetooth ULF installed in the trunk compartment. You do need to modify the wiring in the eject box also. I think that this is what BMW635 figured out in his installation. The eject box wirign mods feed the I-Bus signal back to the ULF.
