Subject: It's OK that you do not have the SES plug...

It is probalby normal not to find the SES plug. I think that the SES pre-wiring only existed in the 2001 model year cars. My 2000 does not have the SES plug.

It sounds like your I-Bus wire may not be connected to the ULF module. You may need to double-check your wiring. BMW635 recently did a custom wiring installation and ran into some bumps along the way. He may have some ideas for you. But, in a nutshell, verify that the I-Bus wire is live at the ULF plug. You may have an issue there or at the eject box plug, where I think there is a loop-back splice for the I-Bus wire.
