which controls the light in the check control. Search more, you must have it. The 4 wire loom goes from under the grill to the area where the radio is , then along the area under the console to the rear where all the other components are. I assume that your car has the anti theft device installled, then it should have this wiring.
I know that you bought that parts from Beach 911 and he already asked me where these parts are.
I am also checking with my special friend in Germany to find out if this connector is available as sinle intem or not. It is a 6-pin connector, blue/black color, but only 4 pins are connected.
these are the conenctors you need, the left lower one is the one for the LED
complete instruction from Johan on E32, but will help for E34 too.
The pin layout of the various connectors (copied from Johans site)

x255 is the yellow connector on the GM, x323 is the IR recevier's connector and x514 belongs to the LED.
*) FPD = front power distribution box, RPD = rearpower distribution box
**) The schematics spoke of a VI/RT wire but it was VI/WS on my car and on the car the plug came out of. I found a VI/WS wire running to an unknown connector next to the RM. I checked the wire with my multimeter and it had +12v on it in ACC/RUN/START. So that had to be the right one.
