Subject: update: cdc working

ok, i had my input wires (via radio module) going into the alpine amp through the speaker level inputs, and the radio would work, but not the cd changer. so i thought i should try connecting the input wires with some rca leads and connecting to the alpine amp with rca's instead. still no music. i even tested the voltage rating of the input wires when the cdc was playing, they read as 5.65 volts (same rating when the fm radio was playing) on both channels, but still no music.

so i thought let me try connecting the cdc outputs directly to the alpine amp with rca leads. at first there was no music. then i heard this really faint noise. i put my ear closer to the tweeter grill and i hear music! so i turned up the gain on the amp and it barely got louder. the music is very very low. but now i know that my cdc is actually sending a signal through the analog output.

so what can the problem be now? the only logical conclusion i can come up with is that the radio module's analog cdc input is not working at all, or i have the analog cable connected to the wrong pins. the latter cannot be true because i know for a fact it is in the correct pin locations:

pin 1 left +
pin 2 right +
pin 6 ground -
pin 7 ground -

spliced the ground wire (white/brown) so it attaches to both pin 6 and pin 7.

any suggestions?
