Subject: No signal from CD Changer using analog cable

I dont know where to start. I have a 2001 740iL with MKII navigation and 4:3 monitor; no TV, just the standard package.

I replaced my DSP amp with an aftermarket alpine amp to drive the cabin speakers. I hooked up everything correctly, ran signal input wires to alpine amp via speaker level inputs, cut all the speaker wires from the DSP amp and re-routed/re-wired them to connect with my alpine amp.

setup looks like this:

Now since the DSP amp received its input signal from the CD changer by digital coax directly, it did not go through radio module. I have replaced the DSP amp with the MRP-F300 and need to run the CDC output signals to my radio module (C43BM-US). I have bought the analog audio cable from BMW that connects to the 6-pin plug behind the CDC. The cable is like this:

6pin plug with only wires connected to it:

pin 1 white/red
pin 2 white/brown
pin 4 white/blue

and the other end of this cable is the same three wires as loose ends with pins crimped onto the wires (it has no plastic plug)

I have connected these wires according to Brian and LyonsDen and i still get no music through my speakers.

Pinouts:

6-pin CDC plug:

1 white/red left channel +
2 white/brown ground -
3 not used
4 white/blue right channel +
5 not used
6 not used

other end on radio module x01037:

1 white/red left channel +
2 white/blue right channel +
3 not used
4 not used
5 not used
6 white/brown left channel -
7 white/brown right channel -
8 not used
9 not used
10 notused

note: I used the white/brown wire as ground for both channels

I can vouch that the amp and speakers work because when i listen to the radio, everything is fine, speakers work, amp works. I have even ran rca cables from a pioneer headunit to the amp's rca inputs and it worked as well. so the problem lies somewhere between the radio module and the cd changer. i have also tested the voltage ratings on the CD changer's signal output wires (cd audio harness that i purchased). Both left and right channels read anywhere from 0.4-0.7 volts when the CD MODE is not chosen (when it is in TAPE MODE or RADIO MODE). when I select CD MODE on the monitor, i let the disc load, go forward a few tracks, and even fast forward a little bit so i know that music should be playing. i then read the voltage ratings again as: 0.2-0.6 volts on the left channel (white/red wire) and sometimes i would get no reading at all on the right channel (white/blue wire) and then it would go up to 0.2-0.5 volts randomly.

I have installed my setup according to willyroo's and Stu's similar speaker/amp upgrades:

Willyroo and Stu, any comments on this? I know you guys probably went through this when you guys dud the installation, any comments on how you connected the CDC to the radio module?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why my setup is not working? Thanks
