The unit resets the following functions:
Airbag / SRS Light, Service Interval, Oil Change Indication,
Works on the following models:
3-series E30, 3-series E36, 3-series E46, 5-series E34, 5-series E39,
7-series E32, 7-series E38, X5, Z3 E53, Z8,

Monitored by a micro-processor the SIR3 digital resetter resets the service interval display according to the manufacturer's specifications - Delete function of airbag control light in instrument.
Use in every BMW-car with round 20-pole BMW-Service socket.
Reset function of Service Interval, Airbag control light and Brake fluid control light (where applicable, country specification).

Note: the SRS system on your BMW needs to be functioning properly in order to reset the SRS light. If the system detects a fault on any of the systems sensors a reset without replacement of those failed components is not possible.
