Lightning has killed an oak tree and some computer bits.

So the USB ports on a machine don't work anymore. All 8 of them go straight into the ICH5 southbridge. The other functions of the southbridge seem to work, though.

If I add USB port cards in PCI slots, will the BIOS still pick up on them and grab them for keyboard, boot device, etc?
