You could also try visiting some of your used car dealers, there are more and more e 38's turning up at dealers these days and the odd one will have a sat nav installation you could copy. I went down this track several years ago but never ended up going ahead with it. Funny thing is i sold the 740il and replaced it with an X5 fitted with all the extras. Nav,voice activation and so on but i never use any of it . Anyway enjoy your e38 its a great car.
