Well, you've never had a car inspected in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey.

They test emissions on the dyno, and test every feature known to man.

They accelerate the car, and slam the brakes on a skidpad, to check the brakes, and then, reverse the car, and hit the emergency brake from a coast to see if it stops the car. This should be ok, until they go release the emergency brake. I asked one of the inspectors for the state when I was at the dmv. and he said it would flat fail if the brake didn't automatically release. They also put the car on this thing that basically shakes the suspension, and test that somehow too...

You will also fail for any sort of tint on the front windows, anything hanging from the rear view mirror, any clear corners etc.. all sorts of ridiculous stuff. I'm wondering if their going to fail me for the gasket blocking a part of the 3rd brake light. (I ordered that too but it's a pain to pull the whole rear deck just to do that). I was going to do that when the car comes apart to pull out the rear subwoofer deck and run the audio wires.

I ordered the parking brake release strut from the dealer with the gasket. Waiting for it to arrive and I'll pop it in this weekend.
