Hi All,

Had an O.K. time at the drive this year. Seemed like a lot longer wait to drive anything this year as apposed to other years. Only had time to drive an X6, X3, and a 550. Lines were the longest for the 1 and 3 series. Gave up trying. M3 was popular, but you had to have an appointment. One idiot curbed it try to get out of the lot. 7 series is appearently a consideration as a replacement for the Caddi and Escalade due to gas costs (like the 7 will be any better), though I don't think there's a spinning wheel option.

Thoughts on the X6. Best way I can describe it is an x5 crossed with a 335. Took corners great, and pick up was good when in manual shift mode. Seed like a bit of a lag in regular automatic mode. Still not sure what the point of making this car in the first place was. But I think has a place for someone with 1 car that wants sportiness, but may live more north or places that may get more snow and want AWD and a higher vantage point. Still a bit heavy, which explains why it gets the same gas mileage as a 4.8 x5.

Loved the 550. tight on the corners, great excelleration. Good creature comforts as well, though I couldn't figureout how to widen the side bolsters, which was a bit tight. It had the night vision, which I decided to see what it would do in the day. Would highlight exhaust pipes as well as at stoplights I could see where tires where unevenly heating. Would be a nice to have for those trips up north where someone is usually assigned the roll of deer spotter. But is it worth $2,000?? A.... No.

The X3 seemed like it had the best responsiveness though it had the smallest engine. Probably because it weighs 1/2 of the others. Hello, anyoe at BMW listening?? Interior wasn't as nice as the others though.
